Founded by Master Perfumer and Olfactory Artist Gabriel De Carvalho, the studio bridges the worlds of perfumery, art, and science, transforming fragrance into a form of contemporary cultural dialogue.
From bespoke fragrance creation to immersive installations, The Olfactory Art Studio crafts sensory experiences that go beyond aesthetics, inviting audiences to see, feel, and remember through scent. Each project merges conceptual storytelling with technical precision, often collaborating with visual artists, galleries, and institutions to translate complex narratives into olfactory form.
Based in Reading, with a presence in London, the studio’s work has been featured in exhibitions, museum collaborations, and private commissions across Europe. Its mission is to reframe perfume not as luxury, but as language a way to interpret memory, identity, and emotion through the invisible art of scent.
